Audrey Marigold S-Darko is a final year Business Administration major at Ashesi University with keen focus on actively employing her design thinking and making skills, as an Ashesi Design fellow and enthusiast to champion innovation, sustainability and the practice of circularity within the agricultural value chain. Proud to be a young farmer and agripreneur, she serves as the CEO of a burgeoning start-up called Sabon Sake. As a crusader for SDGs 1, 2, 12 and 13, she currently operates within the climate-resilient agriculture terrain, leveraging on green technology and novel processes to transform agricultural/industrial waste into eco-friendly material that brings sustainability to our soils and environment, improving food and financial security for communities. She feels fulfilled using her experience in research and sustainability design to improve the lives of farmers and their communities. Engaging and collaborating with research scientists, community leaders, organisations on several sustainable projects that promote circularity and strengthen ecosystems. She is an Ashesi Venture Incubator Fellow. She is also one of the student-led businesses at the Ghana Climate Innovation Center, awarded in March 2019 – Ashesi’s Most Enterprising Business, a 2018 Kectil Colleague and a prize winner at the 2018 WEGE Prize – an international competition that ignites game-changing solutions for economies.
