Abdul-Nasser is Managing Consultant (The Big Bull) at the Little Cow Consulting Limited, a full-service marketing and strategy firm. In addition to this, he is a lecturer at Ashesi University where he teaches Competitive Strategy and Marketing courses. Prior to this, Abdul-Nasser was the Director of Entrepreneurship at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre, where he was responsible for identifying and leading the incubation of transformational green entrepreneurs in Ghana. He continues to consult for the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre, supporting on a part time basis with entrepreneurship and venture acceleration workstream.
Abdul-Nasser is a senior marketing and strategy executive with financial services, technology, payments and telecoms industry experience. His experience encompasses commercial & marketing leadership, strategy development, pricing, sales, staff management & development, start-ups, and new product & technology development/roll, out working in Africa, Europe and America.
As Marketing Director (Africa) for Millicom, Abdul-Nasser led the development and rollout of the strategy to restage the Tigo brand across its African operations. He had prior to this led, among other things, the development of the Tigo Hospital Insurance Product, and restructuring of Tigo’s VAS product portfolio. This included products like the Family Life Insurance (the first mobile insurance product in Ghana) and Zero Balance Product to achieve significant growth and profitability. As the Head of Product Innovation and then Solutions Category Manager, he played a key role in the conception and eventually rollout of Tigo’s consumer and corporate solutions.
Prior to Millicom, Abdul-Nasser’s work experience included roles such as Small Business Desktops and Workstations Brand Manager for Dell Inc (USA), where he launched 8 new products; and Sales & Marketing Officer at Ecobank Ghana Limited where he was responsible for implementing the bank’s direct sales strategy, and developed and launched both the Ecobank Junior Saver and Ecobank Student Accounts.
Abdul-Nasser holds a first degree in Economics & Computer Science from the University of Ghana and an MBA with majors in Marketing, Finance and Strategy from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, IL.
